We took a wonderful trip to the beach from July 31st to Aug 7th. We drove from Texas to Florida but stopped about half way and spent the night on the way there and back. We rented a roomy minivan and had portable dvd players for the kids to help pass the time. My sister, brother-in-law, niece and newphew and my mom also came along. We stayed in Seaside which is about 20 minutes west of Destin. It is a fairly small, family oriented town. The beach, beautiful houses/cottages, shops, freindly people biking and walking everywhere make it so surreal. We all had so much fun! It was a bit depressing to have to leave such a great place and come back to the hussle and bussle of reality. We all could get used to living the beach lifestyle :) Raegan was ready to hit the beach from the time she woke up until the sun went down. Brady enjoyed the beach but keeping him from eating the sand was a bit challanging. The picture where he has sand all over his face is when he was trying to eat the sand. Luckily he wasn't bothered by it. I was scared he was going to get it in his eye but I got him showered off before he could rub his eye. I know the video of her dancing is dark but I wanted to post it anyways. We enjoyed our time relaxing with my family and it was nice to have extra people to help with the little ones. We are so grateful we had this opportunity and we hope to get back to Seaside soon.
